2022 Acerook G/30 Championship

Format: 5 rounds Swiss System pairings (no elimination)– Game/30 with 5 second delay (Dual-Rated); Two Sections: Open and Reserve-U1600 (Based on May 2022 Rating Supplement)

Bye: 1 Half-point bye is offered for any round, if requested before the start of round 2.

Prizes ($1100 based on 50 entries):

Open: $200 + Plaque - $150 - $100; U2000 - $100

Reserve-U1600: $200 + Plaque - $150 - $100; U1400 - $50; U1000 - $50

USCF standard tiebreaks, if needed, will be used to determine the plaques to first place in each section.

Bonus Prize Fund ($350 Guaranteed): $200 - $100 - $50

The best combined scores from the 2022 Acerook G/60 and G/30 Championships – to be awarded after all games are finished in the G/30 Championships. Scores from the G/60 will be multiplied by 2.  Thus, 2 x 4 points in G/60 + 1 x 5 points in G/30 equals 13 possible total points.

Equipment: Please bring boards, sets and clocks to the event. Limited Acerook Chess Enterprises’ equipment will be available to loan per round basis.

COVID Protocols: ACE Tournaments will follow any business, county, state or federal health mandates in effect during the tournament period. All players and staff will be required to follow these mandates, if any. Up-to-date information will be posted on the tournament website, including any health mandates or cancellation of the tournament.

Other: All players must have a current USCF membership for the inclusive dates of the tournament.  TD reserves to the right to use accelerated Swiss pairings, if needed. Unrated players may be assigned a rating at the TD’s discretion based on their US Chess Online, unofficial “live” ratings in any category or any foreign ratings.
